What should I wear to my first aerial class?

We recommend wearing tight-fitting pants and a t-shirt or tank top. More tight-fitting clothing is less likely to get tangled in the fabrics. We also require all students to take off all jewelry, including rings, bracelets and dangling earrings. The ensures of fabrics do not rip and stay safe.

3

What strength/flexibility is required to get started?

There are absolutely no requirements to getting started with aerial arts. We make classes accessible to individuals of all fitness levels and ages. We work with you to build the strength and flexibility you need to succeed. We have had many students start with little-to-no fitness experience who have thrived (and have fun) doing aerial classes!

4

Is there a weight limit on your equipment?

Our aerial fabrics can hold over 2,000 pounds. They are safe for individuals or all shapes and sizes, and even can hold multiple aerialists at a time. Our rigging is attached to steel beams and is inspected regularly.

5

What class/classes do you recommend for complete beginners?

We recommend that all students take at least one Intro to Aerial Silks class before attending an aerial open gym or beginner class. Our Tuesday Intro class is a progressive class that will teach you the basic wraps, climbs and drops over a 6-week time period. This class helps you ease your way in to aerial in a safe and less intimidating way.

6

Who can attend your aerial classes and open gyms?

Our classes and open gyms are open to all adults of all genders that are 18+. We want to create an environment where adults feel comfortable learning and practicing aerial skills. Individuals under 18 are welcome to schedule private lessons and attend private group lessons (at the discretion of the organizer).
